Our biggest challenge is to teach this tall boy that even though the counters are a perfect height for him to see everything, he is not allowed to "borrow" items or put his feet on the counter to reach things.
Scout's first experience with TV was a bit frightening then but funny now. He thought the people on TV were real and jumped up to put his feet on them. He kept looking behind the screen also. Thank goodness he did not knock it over (I was very close to him) and now seems to understand those are not "real people."
Scout enjoys his food very much. He walks very well on a leash and does not seem frightened by noises and things. He is very curious about everything. He is also very quiet, except when it is time to get up in the morning. Scout thought 4 am was get up time his first day here. He has extended that to 6 am which is a much more reasonable hour.
Scout will be a good addition to any family (without cats).
NLGA will be getting 8 more newly retired racing greyhounds in the next two weeks! Foster homes are still very much needed! If you are interested in the rewarding experience of being a foster family, please contact Donna at guber2nac@aol.com Thank You!
