Two Days Away!

Hello NLGA Dog Blog Readers!

The Grand Old Day Parade is only two days away!!  2 days!!  Can we get more people and greyhounds at the parade this year than we had last year?!  Yes we can ... YOU just need to help by coming!

Sunday, June 1 is the Grand Old Day Parade!!  And after the parade we are having a POT LUCK!!!
From www.grandave.com:
“Grand Old Day is the largest one-day festival in the Midwest, drawing over 250,000 people each year from the greater Twin Cities metropolitan area, regionally and from neighboring states. The event is held along Grand Avenue, Saint Paul’s premier shopping, dining, and entertainment district. The parade is the 2nd largest in the area with over 180,000 in attendance. The Parade will kick-off promptly at 9:30 am. The route begins at Dale and Grand then proceeds west along Grand to Fairview. Grand Avenue and all side streets are closed after 8:00 am."
Just think…that’s a lot of people waiting to see greyhounds!!

The theme this year is Summer in the City!  Pick out your favorite pair of shorts (or pants), some summer shoes, and purple (or greyhound themed) shirt!

All the greyhounds will make an impact on the 180,000 in attendance!

And some details:
Who:     ALL greyhounds and their people! More hounds, bigger impact!
What:    Grand Old Days Parade (with 180,000 people just waiting to see greyhounds!)
When:   Lineup is at 8:30 AM and the parade starts at 9:30 AM
Where:  Lineup is at Grand and Dale. Our lineup number is 34! The parade starts at Dale and goes to Fairview.
Why:     Because we want 180,000 people to see our greyhounds!!

And after the parade we will be gathering for a pot luck.  The gathering will be withing walking distance of the end of the parade.  We hope you will join us!
