Winter...Can't beat it, Join it!

Hello NLGA Dog Blog Readers,

Winter is still upon us.  But spring is in our minds!  Groundhog day has come and gone and, well, we'll believe spring when we see it!  Until then, let's embrace the season we have!

With that said, we are going to kick off an activity that many folks may thing would better be kicked-off in the spring.  But, this is where we live and we all have jackets, hats, and boots.  We can keep warm, right!  So, why not?!

Introducing ... "The GREYT Friday Evening Walking Series!"

Shout for your greyhound. Grab a leash. Put on your sneakers (errr, boots & jackets). And join us for a GREYT Friday evening walk!

The first event of this series, "Greyt Mississippi Meanderers", will take us on enjoyable walks along the greyt Mississippi River in the Twin Cities area. To keep the scenery and smells new and fresh for everyone, we will vary the meeting location and routes throughout the seasons as participants see fit. The series will start out at the North Mississippi Regional Park in Minneapolis.  The walk will begin at 6:30pm on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month.  Park in the north most parking lot, just off of 53rd Ave N.  The first walk will take place this Friday evening.  Hope to see you there!

In the event of severe weather warnings, the "Greyt Mississippi Meanderers" walk will be cancelled. Light rain, snow, and normal variations in Minnesota weather will not cancel the walk. Adjust accordingly and come prepared for the elements!

Do you have greyt walking routes, parks, or trails in your area?  Would you like to add an event to "The Greyt Friday Evening Walking Series" to gather up some local greyhound friends?  Send us a note (nlgahounds@gmail.com) and we'll work with you to get the details and have it added to the series!

Note: Participants in The Greyt Friday Evening Walking Series assume complete responsibility for themselves and their greyhounds. Northern Lights Greyhound Adoption, walk leaders, and walk participants are not held liable for damages, injuries, or losses suffered before, during, or after the walks.
