Haunting Anoka

Hello NLGA Dog Blog Readers!

Just two day until NLGA @ the Anoka Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 26th!  NLGA line up is: Division 2, Unit 5!

Do you have your Halloween costumes and long underwear ready?!  It should be a beautiful fall morning to walk in the parade with sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s!

The Anoka Halloween Grand Day Parade is this Saturday, October 26. Step-off is at 1:00 p.m.

Roads will close at 11:45, so please be at the staging area by 11:30. We are Division 2, Unit 5.

The staging area is behind the Anoka American Legion, and maps can be found on the parade website: anokahalloween.com  or here is a .pdf of the map from the website.

Note that this is a fast-paced parade, which means there will be no stopping to pick poop.  Baggies containing kitty litter will be available, so if your hound should exercise his/her urge to purge, you can just dump the kitty litter over the mess and continue walking.

Costumes for hounds and humans are encouraged, but not mandatory, so get those creative juices flowing.  This year's theme is Retro.  Or the use of orange and black is always welcome too.

If you need an extra hound to walk, we may be able to help out.  Let us know!  nlgahounds@gmail.com

Greyhounds from the 2012 Anoka Halloween Parade

Let's see how many greyhounds we can have in the parade!  Can we double last years count?  Let's give it a try!

We'll see you on Saturday!!
