This weekend is a big weekend for NLGA events...both Pride and Petapalooza!
Part of NLGA's mission is to educate the public about greyhounds as pets. You and your greyhound/s are needed at these events to help meet people, talk to them, and show them what wonderful pets retired racing greyhound are! Without you and your greyhound/s, working towards this mission would not be possible!
The Twin Cities Pride Festival always has a large attendance with a lot of attention directed towards the NLGA greyhounds. And this years Pride will very likely have a higher attendance than ever...which means even more attention for your greyhound/s! If you are thinking about adopting a retired racing greyhound this is also a greyt event for you to attend and meet some amazing greyhounds. Either way, you do not want to miss being a part of this!
The Pride Festival takes place in Loring Park which is located on the southwest corner of downtown Minneapolis.
The NLGA booth is located in the pet area at the Twin Cities Pride Festival which is the "Orange Zone" on the color coded maps. The "Orange Zone" is on the north side of Loring Park. The booth number is 96.
There are also complete maps for the Twin Cities Pride Festival available.
Greyhounds will be at the NLGA booth from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th. You are invited to stop by with your greyhounds for just a short bit or bring your chair to stay a while or only stop by to say 'hi' (pet the greyhounds)!
And...another fun event this weekend...
You are also invited to stop by Pet-a-palooza at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 29th. Greyhounds will be at the NLGA booth from 10am to 5pm. Again, stop by with your greyhounds for a short bit, bring your chair and stay a while, or just stop by to say 'hi' and pet the greyhounds!
NLGA will be in booth #7 at Petapalooza which is on Cooper Street just west of the MN State Fair water tower.
See you at Twin Cities Pride and Petapalooza this weekend! And keep an eye out on the NLGA Dog Blog for pictures from these two greyt events!
