Call for 2014 NLGA Calendar Photo Submittals

The 2014 NLGA calendar committee is requesting photographs of your greyhounds!

Send in your pictures!!  Catch your hounds doing special tricks or just regular greyhound poses; the NLGA calendar wants them all!

Many of you have added a new greyhound to your family, some of you are brand new greyhound adopters and some of you have the same greyhound/s you had last year (lucky you!) and are old hands at this greyhound stuff! But...all of you have special greyhounds and want to show them off in the NLGA calendar!  Even if your greyhound has been in a previous calendar, we still want you to submit photos.  And those of you that host Meet and Greets could submit photos from that gathering or any other event where NLGA participates too!  There is lots of room and after all, what’s a greyhound calendar without lots of photos of greyhounds!

However, and this is important, if you want your hound to be considered for a large photo then a phone camera is not going to work!  Go back and read that last sentence again.  The photo quality from a camera phone may work for the small photos but the month cover photos need to be of high enough quality that it can be enlarged to the size of the page, generally this means the pictures need to be taken with a “real” camera.  For past calendars, it has been difficult getting enough of the large photos for each month. So...PLEASE...take some good photos with your camera and send them in.  If you are questioning if the quality of your picture is adequate to be considered for a cover photo, just ask!

Additionally, there will be another “photo booth” at the NLGA picnic this year so please plan ahead to have your hound photographed in September.  Pictures will be accepted until September 20, 2013 and will include those taken at the picnic.
