We had our first 'spring' walk last Friday evening. Spring based on the calendar at least!
It was a cold and windy evening for a walk! But it was light outside! And we had a greyt group of greyhounds and people!
We walked around North Mississippi Regional Park. The hounds enjoyed the company of others and all of the fresh smells. The people enjoyed the company of others on the walk too.
We found paths we had not seen in the winter and had to make one detour due to deep water across the path. Seeing that it is supposed to be spring, that's better than taking the snowshoe path as we did in January!
Everyone was still wearing warm coats... one of these days we'll have a 'nice' Friday evening walk!
It was an enjoyable walk and we look forward to seeing more people and hounds on Friday, April 4th for the next walk!
And, if you would like to start a walk in your area, please let us know! We know there are lots of greyhounds out there ready for walks! nlgahounds@gmail.com
