Happy 1st Gotcha Day Euro!

Euro had his very first gotcha-day a couple of days ago.  Since Euro's foster feature and forever home announcement were two of the very first Dog Blog posts, it only seems appropriate to have another post for his first gotcha-day!

Euro and Goblin recently

Euro has not lost a bit of his youthful intensity!  And he enjoys spending time with his house mates the 16 year old cat from France, Goblin and 9 year old greyhound sister Tabby.  They all enjoying the blue bone blanket that was given to him by his foster family, now that the cold weather has returned.  And he and Tabby still sleep nose to nose, or with their 8 paws in a tangled heap.

Euro and Tabby from the early days

Euro enjoys helping his Mom do yoga.  And also gets involved when his Dad and Mom do Tai chi.

Euro is constantly surprising his family (and poor Tabby, who still runs the show.) He has boundless lab-like enthusiasm, and still flies up and down steps, and leaps into every open car door he sees. (And his Mom sometimes have to give him a ride around the block to get him out.)

A while ago, his family finally discovered that he is crazy about squeak toys, and he even gets terribly excited if you say 'squeaky' in a high pitched tone. (Which his family does not think sounds anything like a rabbit in distress, but he does, apparently.)

When his family takes him to the dog park, he stands around with Tabby at the edges, refusing to play, because he does what Tabby does, and she is shy and elderly. I need to take him alone, and see if he plays more.

Over the summer, Euro had several weeks of visiting from family in Japan and France.  (He loves little French girls, but little Japanese girls shriek too much for his taste!)

Euro is a fine ambassador for greyhounds everywhere, since he is so cheerful and goofy.
