Is your hound helping out with the yard work this year? This week's poem explores the concept of work from the perspective of a Greyt!
Yard Work
By Katie Gilstrap
In the yard where I play,
I am working today
For the chores to be done are immense.
I'm digging through leaves
And I'm marking the trees
And up next, I will tend to the fence.
After that, I will pardon
Each rose in the garden
With one hefty sniff from my snout.
And when I am done
I will lie in the sun
Because yard work can wear a dog out!
