Come Meet the New Dogs

Many of you have adopted Greyhounds from NLGA or other groups and have treasured your hounds.

Oh, they may have been great from the start, or they may have needed some tweaking to make them the wonderful pets they have become.  One constant is likely, they were fostered before you adopted them.  They had a clue about what was expected from them, and whatever it was they still had to learn, you can be assured it was much easier because they did have some previous home experience.  It was that experience that makes the difference between a successful placement and a failure.  We need you to help us be SUCCESSFUL.  Occasionally there is the push button greyhound out there who is perfect as a pet from the get go, but the majority of them are what they are because of the efforts (sometimes a little, sometimes a whole lot) of a dedicated foster parent.

If you currently foster, we appreciate all that you do and thank you for continuing your critical role in the adoption process.  We know how gratifying fostering is and we know that you relish the rewards that a successful foster going forward and flourishing in their new home does for your heart, it is indescribable, right!
If you have dabbled in fostering in the past but not done it consistently, we beseech you to jump back into the ring and join us on Monday the 21'st of July.
If you have never fostered but think it might be fun, it is.  We need you.  Please step up and help us, we need you.  Can you hear us, we need you on many levels!
We need you so we can continue to bring in new dogs that need our help in finding a forever home.  Our greatest limiting factor is our  foster homes.  If we had enough foster homes we would have the luxury of being able to manage a consistent number of dogs without having to deal with the peaks and valleys that we struggle with.  Our greyhounds will be able to be placed more rapidly and effectively and successfully if we had more quality fosters.
Please come to our Monday July 21st meeting at the Foley Blvd Animal Hospital, the meeting is scheduled at 6:30 PM.  We will be serving Pizza and cold beverages.  It will be social, educational, entertaining and a whole lot of fun, don't miss this meeting.  If you have plans, change them.  We really need you to attend.
There is no obligation to attending, you will not be forced or pressured or beaten into submission, but please take the step and see what happens.  We are asking for an RSVP, please let us know that you will be coming.
We will be having presentations from a variety of people who will be able to answer any and all questions you might have, We will help you understand how to handle any situation and we will give you everything you need to make the experience a good one and a successful one.  We provide it all, food, medication, support, advice, everything.
Please, stand up, take a step forward and help us do this wonderful thing that we do.  These dogs need your involvement, don't let them down, it is easy to do and very gratifying.  We guarantee you will never regret taking the initiative.
RSVP's by either e-mailing guber2nac@aol.com or calling 763 754 9754
