Welcome Home!

Hello NLGA Dog Blog Readers!

We are very excited to introduce three more newly retired racing greyhounds to the NLGA family!

A greyt big welcome to Harry, Magic, and Waneta!
As Harry, Magic, and Waneta were being driven in the direction of Minnesota, we were driving into the wind towards Iowa to meet them.  Some gusts required an extra grip on the steering wheel and made us glad we were not driving a higher profile vehicle!

Getting closer!

We met up with the volunteers from HGA (thank you!) who gave the trio a ride.  After making sure all the leashes were in hand the back door opened.  One by one they jumped out for a quick stretch of the legs and potty break before continuing the journey.

Harry is keeping an eye out too

Lots of legs ready for us to get going!

Since all our clocks were set back on Saturday night, the drive home was rather dark.  All three hounds found a place to lay and rarely moved the whole trip.  We didn't even know we had passenger they were all so quiet.  There was an occasional big sigh or some heavy sleep breathing but that was it!  A very well behaved group!

The trip home looked something like this.

When we got home and the vehicle stopped, everyone was ready to get out to stretch their legs!

Let us know if you are interested in welcoming one of these greyt hounds into your home!
