The dog days of summer are officially here. Have you noticed your greyhound acting a little lazier lately?
Lazy (Part I)
By Katie Gilstrap
With tongue outstretched,
He squints his eyes
And gazes at
The summer skies
From which the southern
Breezes stir
The glossy fringes
Of his fur.
Bunnies hop
Along the fence,
But he's too lazy
To commence
A chase across
The grassy ground,
For he's too hot
To run around.
