A Word from Windy

Windy wants you all to know how nice it is to have her very own family to love!

Windy is adjusting very well to her new home and is comfortable taking treats from her familiar people.  She has even befriended a couple of greyhounds that live down the street.  Windy had a border collie visit and they spent some time in the yard.  The border collie's owner thought Nigel was quick and fast; after all, he is a herding dog.  But it turns out he was no match for the speed of Windy.  We hope to see Windy and her family at NLGA events in the near future.

Below are pictures with her two new best friends!!

Windy would like to encourage you to make a greyhound's wish of a forever family come true and give him or her a family and home of their own.  You won't be sorry!

Kiss Me, I'm Greyt

It's March, which means it's officially National Irish American Heritage Month!

Did you know that Greyhounds and their ancient predecessors have had a strong presence in Irish history since the 17th century? It's true! Irish Greyhounds, or "Celtic Hounds," are prevalent in many Irish legends as symbols of loyalty, strength, and health.

Spring is right around the corner.  How big that corner is, now that's yet to be seen!  In anticipation of spring, this weeks task is pictures of spring or pictures that remind you of spring.

Here are just a few thing we have on our minds...

Break the Cold!

Hello NLGA Dog Blog Readers,

We were teased with 40 degree weather a little more than a week ago.  Then we were walloped with snow.  And this past week we plunged back into winter.  Have you and your hound/s had enough already?  And does this mean March is "coming in like a lion"?!
