Are you thinking about adopting a retired racer? There are plenty out there who could really use a forever home to call their own. This week's poem is a celebration of the warm fuzzies that greyhounds feel when they know that they are safe, warm, and forever loved by their families!
There's a Cabin in the Woods
By Katie Gilstrap
There's a cabin in the woods
Where the snows are deep.
There's a hound in the cabin
And he's fast asleep.
There's a hearth by the hound
And it keeps him warm
With a flame that will burn
Through the thick of the storm.
There's a light in the flame
And it softly glows.
There's flame in the heart
Of the hound who knows
There's a place in the cabin
And it's just for him
All because someone found him
And let him in.
