Tomorrow is the Day for Greyhound Fun!

Hello NLGA Dog Blog Readers!

The 17th Annual NLGA Picnic is TOMORROW!  Can you believe it!  We're looking forward to a greyt day!

A few of the final loose ends will be wrapped up today and everything will be ready to go tomorrow morning at 11am!  And the weather is expected to be perfect ... sunny and low 70's ... knock on wood!

The 17th Annual NLGA Picnic will take place at Long Lake Regional Park (1500 Old US Hwy 8) in New Brighton, MN from 11am to 4pm.

There is a lot of major road construction in both directions on 694.   Be aware that travel times may be slow and traffic may be heavy.  For 'official' road construction details, check here.  As of writing this post, there is 'major road construction' on 694 from Hwy 100 to 35W and 'long term road construction' on 694 from 35W to Victoria Street.

The latest schedule of events for the picnic is as follows:
          11am - 4pm:   Shopping, raffle, silent auction, food, 2014 NLGA calendar voting, NLGA photo booth, and fun!
          11:00am - 2:30pm:  Bean Bag Toss Contest and Greyhound Bingo
          11:30am - 4:00pm:  Dominick's Food Truck and Frosty Paws/Treats Available
          12:00pm:   Memorial Balloon Release
          12:30pm:   First 50/50 Raffle Drawing
          12:30pm:   Games!  Musical mats, Bun Races, and Costume Contest!
          1:30pm:     Live Auction
          2:00pm:     2013 NLGA Group Picture
          2:30pm:     Second 50/50 Raffle Drawing
          2:30pm:     Greyhound Bingo and Bean Bag Toss Winner announced
          3:00pm:     Silent Auction Ends
          3:30pm:     Raffle Ends

When you get to the picnic, stop by the welcome table to get name tags for you and your greyhound/s.  And don't forget to pick up your goodie bag too!  Good stuff in it from: NLGA, Stella & Chewy's, Charlie Bear, Solid Gold, KLN, Noodles & Company, and others!

Stop by Dominick's food truck for lunch!  There will also be frosty paws and treats for sale too!

Get your photo taken at the NLGA photo booth! Some of the photos taken at the picnic will be included on the September page of the 2014 NLGA calendar!

Vote for the 2014 calendar photos pages.  Participate in the memorial balloon release.  Play games.  Participate in the raffles and auctions.  Talk to old friends and meet some new friends.
