We are working on a project for this years picnic.   We need the names of the recent hounds you have lost.  We may be restricted as to the number of names due to space issues.  If this is the case, we will use the most recent hounds that have left us first.

It's My Birthday -- Tara

So today is my BIG day!

No, darlings, I may be a gorgeous show girl at heart but every good performer knows when to leave them wanting more and become a mysterious legend like Greta Garbo......  No my dears today is my first birthday in my forever home.... Well, technically, I am not at home somehow mom and dad forgot that it was my birthday and scheduled themselves a trip to NYC and left me and Scooter in the divine care of Mary and Mark.

Today is July 3rd, which makes tomorrow the 4th of July!  You know what that means...a day of celebration  with family/friends/neighbors and an evening of fireworks (a.k.a. pyrotechnics)!  Aerials, mortars, flames, sparks, colors, bangs, crackles, flashes...oh, my!  We watch in awe and amazement at the transformed night sky!

That awe and amazement more than likely does not extend to the greyhounds in our lives!!
